Desucalyptizing brigades

Today I had the opportunity to accompany a desucalyptizing brigade during a rainy morning in the parish of Santa Eulalia in Ponte Caldelas, where the 2017 fire strike burned many hectares.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣The 15 volunteers of the brigade worked on a 3500-square-foot property and eliminated some 3500 outbreaks of eucalyptus strain and 1000 seed plants, in approximately 2500 square meters.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣Jesús de la Fuente, an activist from the Asociación “A Rente del Chán”, explains that it was created in August 2017 after the fires strike that devastated the province of Pontevedra. Now they add to work through the brigades “to generate common uses around the villages and the rivers, because we believe that they are areas that have to be sources of wealth and a use that maintains these free zones of vegetation that transmits with speed the fire putting At risk the lives of people and homes. “⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣A large majority of Galician society does not know or ignore the importance of these brigades for the future of forests and forest heritage of Galicia, which will not recover its natural state of autochthonous species in hundreds of years. Evil is already done, many landowners where previously planted eucalyptus now understand the ecological disaster they have caused with the continued complicity of the different autonomous governments.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣I will continue to repeat until I get tired of the cultural, social and environmental poverty in which the country is and the inheritance that we leave our children of the future.
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣Thank you people with your selfless work.
